When we think of technology-led innovation, we misjudge it as some emerging technology or a new shiny tool.
However, if we extend technology’s definition as Clay Christensen put it – “the processes by which an organization transforms labour, capital, materials, and information into products and services of greater value”, then innovation refers to a change through one of these technologies.
