Generative AI has shifted AI paradigm. AI which was only available to techies in the past is now available for common users. Machines are no longer just applying the algorithms and playing in the background, with generative AI, machines are now playing the role of a coach, consultant, friend, boss and interestingly customers.
Organizations are carefully assessing the technology and looking the right use cases. There are two flavours of generative AI for the orgnisations:
- Everyday AI – Focuses on making your employees more efficient & productive.
- Back office – Admin, HR, Legal, IT ops
- Front office – Customer experience, Sales, Marketing, Customer services
- Game Changer AI – create a new ways, offer your services AI enabled
- Disrupt core capabilities
- New products & services
Everyday AI is easy to deploy with existing LLMs and organizations have already started to deploy this with right use cases. Soon, it won’t remain a competitive advantage.
Game changing AI is transformative and is going to give your organization an edge. However, the technology is evolving very fast, models are evolving to multi dimensional models. Deployment of game changing AI is expensive.
While this is evolving, it will be good idea to make your organization AI-ready with what Gartner defines as three pillars for an AI ready organization.
