There is a rush in businesses to brand themselves as the digital business, same as we have seen when everyone wanted to brand themselves as .com business in 90s/2000 or as few years ago when every business wanted to be seen in dealing with ‘cloud’.
As we see the pace of digital transformation increasing more and more, converting from paper-based form to capturing the information of customer/user through online forms will be the thing of past.
In the new world, eliminating this need of information capture directly will be the basic competency organisations are going to have. This information will be the by-product of customer’s interaction with your brand and the customer’s context.
Though many businesses are still pretending to be the digital business, others have really advanced themselves in this area and are building/transforming the ‘customer aware’ capabilities using digital.
