As I wrote earlier in my blog, Architecture is a dialogue. One of the keys for this dialogue is to understand your stakeholders. Though TOGAF defines the stakeholder analysis as the Phase A (Architecture Vision) activity, but in major change programmes; architecture is always in progress and keeps adding new streams of work, hence new stakeholders.
However, the concepts of Stakeholder Management (defined below) are still very useful.
- Identify Stakeholders
- e.g. suppliers, partners, operations, security)
- Identify their concerns
- e.g. architecture covers security aspects as per security classification
- Understand the power grid

- How will you resolve the concerns?
